On the corner of the busy main road where Ben Yehuda meets Ben Gurion, is the delightful Lehem Ve Shoot, where breakfast is served all day from 07.00am. Little tables and chairs are alive with people sipping coffee and eating food, reading newspapers or chatting amongst mouthfuls of delicious food that arrives no sooner has it been ordered.
Lehem Ve Shoot is as much a bakery as is a café and with bread trolleys lining the inside of this charming this establishment and croissants, rolls, bread and pastries all freshly baked, fall off the shelves as fast as they are replenished, time and time again. Barely out of the bag, the warm roll is already in the mouth, with only a few steps taken from the counter where it was sold.
Breakfast is served by the friendly and efficient staff and thoroughly enjoyed by each and every customer who sits down to eat. The healthy option is a bowl of creamy, soft buffalo yoghurt, topped with crunchy, toasted granola, full of almonds, pecans, pumpkins and sunflower seeds and soft seasonal fruits and drizzled with honey......a complete delight.
This corner is a hive of activity, absorbing the culture of breakfast known in Israel.
